What Is the Difference in Price and Quality of Cargo Trailers?
All trailers are not made to the same level of quality and durability, and price can vary widely because of this. A trailer is a long-term purchase. It is better to spend a little bit more for quality than it is to get the cheapest trailer available. Our staff can help you see and touch the material and build differences while showing you our large inventory of in-stock trailers.
Why Is NATM Safety Standards Compliance Important to Me?
The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers requires all members ti have manufacturing processes in place to build trailers that meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards(FMVSS) and industry standards. We only carry trailer brands that meet these standards for the safety and protection of our customers. Look for the NATM sticker on all trailers we sell.
What Is the Warranty?
1 to 3 years depending on the component. Frame structures and related components are covered for 3 years. Other items such as electrical, lights, sealants, doors, trim, windows, and undercoat are warranted for 1 year. See the full warranty sheet for complete details. Cargo Express has a centralized warranty claims manager and does an excellent job of standing behind its product. Many other smaller trailer manufacturers in our experience seem to find any reason, plausible or not, to deny warranty claims.
Why Shouldn't I Just Buy One on the Internet?
Some products with good brand names(Apple, Seiko, Ford, Whirlpool, Titleist, etc.) are safe to buy over the internet as long as the seller has a good reputation(Macy's, Walmart, Best Buy, etc.). And a good return policy. Cargo Trailers vary widely in quality of build, standards of construction, and reputability of manufacturer. Buying through a local dealer can give you the peace of mind to know you have a local warranty service. Top trailer manufacturers only work through a dealer network to ensure the quality of service.
What Size Should I Buy?
The best trailer size depends on such factors as load size, load weight, and towing vehicle capacity. We recommend that you visit our dealership to get a feel for the different trailers. Our experienced staff is also here to help. We can offer this bit of advice when in doubt, go a little larger. The most common regret we hear is "I wish I had bought a larger trailer."
Do I Have to Get My Own Tags?No. We do that for you. As a fully licensed and insured dealer, we will give you a temporary tag at the time of purchase and mail your tags to you when they come in.
